REVIEW: Tony Moly Panda’s Dream Eye Patch

We all develop dark circles around our eyes at some point, whether it be due to late night partying, working, or parenting. My daughter is 18 months old, and as i’m sure any of you out there with children can agree, they really do take a toll on your sleep pattern!

I usually cover my whole face in foundation and hope for the best, but what if I could get rid of them altogether? As I’ve mentioned in my latest reviews, I love Tony Moly’s beauty range. The quirky, kawaii packaging is irresistible. I bought it on Ebay, along with the rest of my Tony Moly products, for £2.00. The information on the back of the packet is in both Korean and English, which is always helpful!

It claims to provide:

  • Liveliness and brightness to darkened skin
  • Moisture to dried skin around eyes

The directions are simple enough: just apply the patches for 10-20 minutes, and remove!

The patches are separated by a piece of plastic netting-type material. I did struggle to place the patches onto my eyes so that they stuck and didn’t fall off, but I eventually managed it. I’m unsure as to whether I resemble a panda or a super hero!

I wouldn’t recommend doing much with your face for the 10-20 minutes. They don’t stick very easily. So just lay back and relax!

The patches have a sort of sweet, floral aroma. I didn’t find it too overpowering, but quite relaxing, which is rare for this type of product. They’re comfortable enough to put on and didn’t irritate my skin at all. They don’t leave any sticky residue; just the scented liquid which you rub into your skin to absorb after you’ve removed the pads.

Pros

  • Great Packaging
  • Quirky idea
  • Nice aroma
  • Affordable

Cons

  • Difficult to source in the UK
  • Can only be used once
  • Personal results were quite poor

Conclusion

I hate to say it, but despite the fact that they made me look like a Super Panda, I was pretty disappointed with the results. I love the concept, but it just didn’t make much of a difference for me. Although I probably won’t buy it again, I’ll still continue to try out other Tony Moly products!
